We are pleased to offer before + after school care for elementary school students from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Students may take district transportation by bus from Friends Together Nursery to their elementary school in the mornings. For the afternoons, they may be bussed from their elementary school to Friends Together.
Early Morning Program: 7:00am – 9:00am
The early morning program will provide the children with opportunities to explore semi-active and quiet free choice activities. The morning program will be set up with free choice areas. A cozy area will always be available to children for quiet reading, book and music listening or quiet morning activities.
Late Stay Program: 2:00pm – 6:30pm
The after-school schedule provides children the ability to complete homework + school assignments, while they develop independence and decision making skills.
Area’s Include:
- Art Table: crafting, drawing, painting, coloring, etc.
- Book Reading
- Puzzles: large floor puzzles + table-top puzzles
- Block Area: large blocks, small blocks, waffle blocks, animals, people, transportation vehicles, dinosaurs, trains.
- Dramatic Play Area: puppets, dress-up, kitchen, dolls, foods.
- Art Area: crayons paint, markers, paper, collage materials, smocks, sponges, paint brushes, stamps, stamp pads, variety of art materials.
- Outdoor Area + Gym: bicycles, balls, climbing & sliding equipment, outdoor blocks, movement props, tunnels.
- Quiet Area: books, pillows, small tables + chairs, flannel board.
- Science/Natural World Area: magnets, magnifying glasses, binoculars, water table, sand, shells, rocks, etc.
