CLASS UPDATES

  • 3 Day 3’s –We hope everyone had a nice vacation with their families. We finished our Penguin unit which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The movie reinforced fun facts about the only bird that doesn’t fly. The children learned about “ March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.” We created a fun project which included painting, glueing and cutting. We hope March does go out like a lamb!
  • 4 Day  3’s – We hope everyone enjoyed the winter break! We started off our week talking about President’s Day. Singing Happy Birthday to George Washington & Abe Lincoln was so much fun. The class learned about pennies & quarters, especially whose faces are on them. The children used magnifying glasses to look at them up  close, used crayons to make coin rubbings and sang songs about are presidents. It was so nice seeing you all at our Penguin Pajama Day Party. Next Week: “ March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.”
  • 5 Day 4’s – Our Winter Habitat Show-such anticipation and excitement! Lots of snow activities happened this week. Our “All About Me” book has a new “feelings” page. The
exploration table is full of hearts to classify and the art of “quilling” has captured the friends imaginations. We are planning the design of our class quilt. Hope you enjoyed the show!!
  • Extended Day 4′s – What a great week back from Winter Break!  This week was all about Dr. Seuss and rhyming in preparation for his birthday. We started our week with the story, “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish!” and creating some fishes for our class! Our “Thing One and Thing Two” projects were so much fun to make after reading
the “Cat in The Hat.” To add to our class, the children cut out an elephants trunk for “Horton Hears A Who.”  As a free art project, they had so much fun painting their own trees from “The Lorax”! And of course we cooked up some “Green Eggs and Ham” for our final Dr. Seuss book! Please keep bringing in 8 items for our 100th Day activity. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss- March 2nd!
