CLASS UPDATES
- 3 Day 3’s – We hope everyone had a restful and healthy Thanksgiving & Hanukkah Holiday! This week we read “Sammy Spider’s First Hanukkah”. The children glued eight different color dreidels to signify the eight nights of Hanukkah. They loved playing with our classroom dreidels. We created a classroom Christmas tree by decorating triangles and started our gingerbread boy ornaments. Enjoy the weekend.
- 4 Day 3’s – We hope you had a nice Thanksgiving & Happy Hanukkah. Our class began celebrating the Christmas holiday by reading “The Gingerbread Man” and creating our own out of sand paper. We talked about the texture and rubbed them with cinnamon sticks so they smelled delicious too!! We also read “Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree” and constructed our own trees too! More Christmas fun planned for next week.
- 5 Day 4’s – Our paper whites are almost ready to bloom! The exploration table is filled with new things! Ask your child to explain –We have opened a new center- Lego, Lego, Legos. Our listening center has several new tapes. “Handy Helpers” are on the walls and a new page has been added to our “All About Me” book. The new kitchen is a great cooking space for our Friday cooking activities. The Evergreen forest is being created in our classroom & soon our gingerbread house will be built. Our letter of the week will be “I”. Please send your child to school with a jacket & hat as we plan on going out as much as the weather allows. We hope everyone enjoyed a Happy Thanksgiving & joyous Hanukkah.
- Extended Day 4′s –This week’s theme was Hanukkah and “M” for Menorah! The students enjoyed creating Hanukah themed projects and learning Hanukah songs! They also loved spinning the dreidel round & round to see what letter they landed on! We made our very own dreidels out of delicious edible treats! With the letter “M” we shared lots of laughs watching the letter turn into a mouse! Next week is the letter “W” for winter. Enjoy the weekend!
