CLASS UPDATES
- 3 Day 3’s –Welcome back Mrs. Torpe!! We missed you! What a fun week we had finishing all our Halloween projects.. We mixed yellow & red paint to make orange pumpkins. The children glued cut out pumpkins and placed them in size order. The parade was a huge success & we had lots of fun learning all the songs.
- 4 Day 3’s – To end our Halloween unit, we read “The Very Busy Spider” and painted spider webs with water colors. We had a dance party and danced to the Monster Mash. Our Halloween Parade was a blast. We look forward to starting Thanksgiving fun next week.
- 5 Day 4’s – Our class is cooking every Friday! The friends put on their chef hats & aprons and the fun begins. All the recipes will be put in a special book. Poetry on Fridays is now part of our week which consist of an individual poem from each student along with an illustration as the last step. Halloween was FUN! Carving Jack-O-Lanterns,counting pumpkin seeds, looking for spooky items in the exploration table & painting pumpkins. The children all loved singing for you. “E” is the letter we will explore for next week. P.S. Please encourage your child to use the bathroom before they come to school. They are then less likely to interrupt their school activities. We all use the bathroom in a group approximately 30 min. after class begins.
- Extended Day 4′s – “H” week has been our favorite so far! We began our week with making creepy spiders to decorate our classroom! The next day we made scary witches to go along with our “One Witch Story”. Of course the next day was the Halloween Parade, which we hope you all enjoyed. We had fun candy tasting & making our witches hand. (which I hope tasted great). Today we created our H’s with hearts & began writing in our journals. Next week is “V” week for vegetables to begin our Thanksgiving fun!
