  • 3 Day 3’s – This week we finished our Thanksgiving unit. The children made craft stick turkey’s. We also made tie-dye turkeys by dropping watered down paint onto coffee filters. We wish everyone a Happy Hanukah and a delicious Thanksgiving. “Gobble, Gobble”
  • 4 Day  3’sThanksgiving is almost here!! We have been getting ready for our feast next Tuesday. Our Native American headbands look fantastic! We are excited to gobble up all the turkey that Mrs. Mucci will be cooking. Hanukkah starts next week so we played with dreidels and have had fun singing the Dreidel song.
  • 5 Day 4’sWow!  What a busy week!! We created our special seed lights. Please read the instructions on the back of the turkey card. We read lots of Thanksgiving & Hanukkah stories. We created a special Menorah and painted lots of large turkeys. In preparation for our feast on Tuesday, we cut out Pilgrim costumes and practiced all our holiday songs. The children talked a lot about “What I am thankful for” & then created a special wreath to decorate your home. In addition, the Enrichment friends (21 Yennicock) built a huge teepee. We all visited this special structure & Mrs. Carbone gave all the children a guided tour complete with Stars and Native American folklore stories.
  • Extended Day 4′sWe learned about the letter “I” for Indians (Native Americans). We began our week by reading a short story about dream catchers! The children enjoyed learning about what they are used for and absolutely loved making their own! We also created our outfits for our Turkey Feast in school since we are being Indians! We made vests and headbands out of beads. The most enjoyable part of the week was visiting the Tee-Pee that Enrichment created and then making our own Tee-Pees out of ice cream cones, frosting & sprinkles. Hope they were yummy!! On Monday we will finish our Thanksgiving unit and begin to talk about Hanukkah.
