Flip Flops for the Philippines

Flip Flop Drive

Super Typhoon Haiyan is believed to be the worst typhoon ever to strike the Philippines. The storm came ashore on November 8, packing winds more than 3 times strong as Hurricane Katrina. Entire towns were washed away. The death toll is expected to rise well above 2,300 and nearly 2 million people have been displaced. While the need for all types of supplies and food is overwhelming, you can help in a very simple way.

Eyewitness News reporter Nina Pineda is launching a campaign called Flip Flops for the Philippines. You can help protect the feet of those walking through miles of dangerous and contaminated debris.

Help the Cause

Please consider donating the outgrown flip-flops or shoes in your or your child’s closet. Be sure to tie the pairs together and put them in bags.

Friends Together will be collecting donations through November 30.

Thank you for contributing.
