9 AM Opening on Friday 2/10

All Friends Together programs will open at 9 AM on Friday, Feb 10.

This means that Extended Day programs, which normally open starting at 7 AM, will open at 9.  Preschool classes with a normal start time of 9 AM, will start on time.  If you need to drop your child off late due to the delayed opening at the other Port Washington schools, that is fine.  Please stay safe on the roads!

SNOW DAY 2/9/17

The Port Washington School District has announced that all schools will be closed on Thursday, February 9th, due to predicted heavy snow and hazardous road conditions.

If school is delayed on Friday, we will post notices here. Have fun making a snow man!

First Day of School

The children have had a great start to the school year!  We are so excited to welcome both new and returning friends to our nursery programs.  In case you didn’t get a chance to take a “First Day of School” photo with your child – it’s not too late!  We’ve created a cute printable sign for you to use in your photos.

Butterfly Release!

Our classes have been enjoying watching the life cycle of a butterfly unfold. After caring for their caterpillars and watching them form chrysalises, this week our friends released their beautiful butterflies and watched them fly away.  Maybe we’ll see them fluttering around our garden!

This video recaps what the children learned – butterflies are truly fascinating!

Earth Day 2015

We had a wonderful Earth Day celebration at Friends Together Nursery!  The children made a collaborative art project from recycled materials and planted flowers to beautify our garden.

We were honored that Manorhaven’s Deputy Mayor Lucretia Steele and Village Clerk Leslie Gross were able to join the festivities!
