Today Dr. Chin, DDS from Tiny Sparkles Pediatric Dentistry visited our school. The children learned all about how to care for their teeth, which foods make their teeth strong and what happens when they go to the dentist for the first time. They watched a brief video and really enjoyed their time with Dr. Chin! They will all be bringing a dental “goodie bag” home as well.

Parent Orientation Reschedule

Please note – Our parent orientation originally scheduled for September 8th has been RESCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH AT 7:30PM, due to schedule changes with the school district.

Water Bottles

In honor of Earth Day (and everyday!), we have decided to eliminate the use of plastic cups in our school. In keeping with this decision, please purchase a reusable, environmentally friendly water bottle for your child to use at school. Please mark it clearly and fill it every day. Friends Together has a reverse osmosis water purification system already in house. We will of course refill each water bottle if necessary and will hand out during all snack and lunch times.

Earth Day Celebration

Earth Day Welcome

We had a great Earth Day celebration. Thank you for sending in so many recycling items for our Earth Day project! We created unique art projects to display in the garden.

The children also planted many flowers and plants and will get to watch them grow throughout the spring.  We hope you will enjoy planting the wildflower seeds we sent home. Remember: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

A Time To Share

thanksgiving banner_sm

We have a very special tradition of collecting food for our Thanksgiving Sharing Box. The children help to decorate the box, and the donations will be delivered to St. Peter’s Church.

It’s not too late to contribute. The Pantry Director at the Church said that items like cereal, rice, cooking oil, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, beans and toilet paper would be especially appreciated by the families. Thank you for helping to brighten the holiday for others in our community!
